Here I am beginning to layer on paint with my palette knife. I am a bit perplexed by the earth and stone upon which the castle sits; I am not sure how to treat it color and texture wise. Since the castle is the focal point, I also do not want to attract too much attention the eroding earth. It seems best to stay with my intuition and keep putting on the paint. This is my first building in quite a while, so it will be interesting to see how I like painting them again, plus a round tower to boot! Challenges in a painting always rev my creative engine.
